Appearance
- Patient is lean, stoop shouldered, dirty looking, hungry.
- Face- dirty, shriveled, red faced people especially lip, as if blood will ooze out on mere touch.
- Pot bellied appearance, emaciated limbs.
- Stoop shouldered person, who walks and sits stooping, walks like an old men.
- Cannot tolerate standing, every standing position is uncomfortable.
Sedentary life style
- Person will confine to his room, who will never take exercise.
- Will eat only simplest food, food not sufficient to nourish their body.
Dirty
- Always dirty looking, and have filthy odour.
- “Ragged philosopher”- they are scholars, inventors, works day and night in thread bare clothes and batted hat.
- He has long, uncut hair and dirty face. His study is unclean and untidy, leaves books pilled up.
- He is not disturbed by uncleanliness, even rag seems beautiful.
- Aversion to being washed, always aggravate after bath.
Selfishness
- He has no thought of anybody else wishes and desires but his own.
- Every thing that he contemplates is for the benefit of him selves.
- There is absence of gratitude.
Philosophical mania
- Monomania over strange, abstract and occult things that are beyond their knowledge.
- It’s a kind of reasoning with out any hope of discovery, with out any possible answer e.g. “who made god?”
Superiority complex
- He believes he is superior to others and others are unable to understand his genius.
- He believes that he is the “king of the world” and will make a paper crown for himself.
Inventive genius
- He is averse to systematic work.
- He gets an idea into the mind and he is unable to get rid of it, he follows it and follows it until he drops into something and many times that is how tings are invented.
Aversion to business
- He is indolent, averse to ay kind of serious business.
- He will sit around and do nothing and let his wife “works his finger nails off” taking care of him. He thinks, that is all she is good for.
Itching of whole body
- Skin even with out much eruption, itches much, itches from warmth of bed and from wearing woolen clothes.
- Scratching often relieves the itching.
Burning
- Ameliorated by cold application.
Hungry and thirsty
- Wants much cold water.
- Hungry feeling, on coming to table he loath food, he takes only simplest and lightest things
- Craving of stimulants, aversion to milk
- Drinks much and eat little
- Emptiness of stomach occurring at 11′o clock cannot wait for lunch.
